ABOUT MASON TRAILS

The trails in Mason, NH were developed and are maintained by a group of trail volunteers in the town. The group usually meets every Thursday at 9 AM to work on a trail in town. We work tirelessly to ensure that our trails are accessible and enjoyable for most outdoor enthusiasts. Please note however, the trails are not open to any wheeled internal combustion engine vehicle. Snow machines are permitted.

Class 1 and Class 2 Electric Bikes are allowed on the trails but must NOT exceed 20 MPH at any time and in general should be kept much slower than 20 MPH. No class 3 E-bikes are permitted.

The Mason Trail Volunteers are just that, volunteers. We are not part of any town organization. We do report however, to the Mason Conservation Commission and get their approval for the work we do. We are self funded for the most part.
There are eight trail systems in Mason. Each system consists of a series trails. The systems are:
The Bronson Potter Homestead (aka Potter North), The Walter Valentine Town Forest, The Mason Quarry, The Nissitissit Headwaters/Spaulding Brook Conservation Area, Bronson Potter South, Cliff Hastings Trail, Florence Roberts Forest, and
The Mason Railroad Trail.
Most of the trails in each system are color coded with plastic rectangles. Many have trail signs.

If you are interested in helping some week, let us know. Send email to masonnhtrails@gmail.com or speak with one of the trail volunteers.

If you see a problem on any of the trails, tree down, washout, etc. please send an email to masonnhtrails@gmail.com and we will try to get to it as soon as we can.
